Climate change

In 1973, Munich Re became one of the first companies to draw attention to man-made climate change as a possible cause of increasing losses. The 2007 IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report confirms what Munich Re has long maintained: the climate is changing. It is more than 90% probable that this is largely due to climate-changing trace gases released into the atmosphere by human activities.
