Scientific alliances for climatic protection research

Since 1974 our experts from Geo Risks Research have been working with numerous institutions whose goal is to achieve sustainable development and find solutions to the problems of climate protection. A selection of current projects:

  • University of Bayreuth: Consultation on an elite course of study, global change ecology
  • FU Berlin/Meteorological Institute: Participation in the analysis of North Atlantic oscillation and its influence on European winter storms
  • Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences: Involvement of staff from Geo Risks Research in the global change management course of study
  • Munich Re is a member of the Global Roundtable on Climate Change of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, whose Director is the renowned American economist, Jeffrey D. Sachs
  • German Aviation and Space Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen: Participation in the analysis of natural cycles in the Pacific
  • University of Ulm/Mathematical Institute: We assist with development of event sets for tropical storms. A better understanding of the causes and effects of tropical storms is of crucial importance for risk assessment.
