1974 Establishment of a geosciences research group at Munich Re (known today as the Geo Risks Research unit), work on climate change and its impact (e.g. floods)
1998 Participation in the Environmental Pact of Bavaria (Munich Re)
EMAS validation at various locations for Victoria Versicherung AG, the first insurance undertaking in Europe to earn this recognition
